Sintra [July 2017]
Truly like a page out of a fairy tale, Sintra in Portugal is a town of stunning palaces with varied architectures (and histories); vast and fascinating gardens; and mysterious monuments. If you visit Portugal, a visit to this UNESCO World Heritage town is a must!

Recommended: Only a 30-minute train ride from the capital of Lisbon, you can afford to stay at least one night to make the most of all that there is to see. Highly recommend all of the palaces featured here; breakfast (and/or afternoon tea) at Cafe Saudade for sweet Portuguese delights; and a stay at Sintra Bliss House where you’ll find cosy rooms, delicious breakfast, and super-lovely staff!
