Prague (Mala Strana) [April 2018]
This the second post on Prague, featuring Prague Castle and Mala Strana – also known as Lesser Town. It sits across Vltava River from the Old Town, and is not “less” at all! Start the day at Prague Castle and then make your way down into the charming streets of Mala Strana, including the (John) Lennon Wall, and across the Charles Bridge back into Old Town.
The first post on Prague featuring Old Town is here.

Recommended: Begin the morning by taking the train to Hradcanska station and follow the signs to Prague Castle. This is an easier stroll to the Castle, rather than climbing up the hill from Malostranska station. Explore the stunning grounds and medieval architecture (and amazing history) of Prague Castle. Towards lunch time, follow the long path down to the streets of Mala Strana. Stop by the stunning St. Thomas Church and the St. Nicholas Church. For lunch, enjoy traditional Czech cuisine at Restaurace U Mecenase – their Svíčková was ridiculously delicious! [link]. With full tummies wander through Mala Strana’s streets and alleys to Lennon Wall and don’t forget to leave your message on the wall. From there you can make your way to Charles Bridge – make sure you climb the tower before crossing the bridge to get a truly wonderful view of the bridge as it stretches across to Old Town.
